Texas Creek Farms is proud to introduce TMR Buster 75-150TM. TMR Buster 75-150TM is a proprietary mixture of several enzymes and feed ingredients which aid in the digestion of all carbohydrates, both fiber and starch. The formula has been 14 years in the making, with testing done on the individual constituents and several combinations of the constituents, both in the lab and in the field. While the final formula is too new to have formal university studies completed, there are data from limited laboratory trials and field trials. The results of these trials with TMR Buster 75-150TM have been positive and very encouraging.
Question: Why was TMR Buster 75-150TM developed?
Answer: TMR Buster 75-150TM was developed in an effort to reduce the dependence on corn and other concentrate products. The idea behind TMR Buster 75-150TM is to maintain the total dry matter feed intake by increasing the level of forage or high fiber commodity feeds while reducing the use of concentrates or starches and still maintaining the production level of the herd.
Question: How is the best way to use TMR Buster 75-150TM?
Answer: Field testing has shown that the starch level of the grain portion of the ration may be decreased while maintaining or increasing production. This should increase the health of the cattle by reducing the amount of lactic acid produced. This is typically done by decreasing the corn or other starch source added to the diet and increasing the higher fiber byproducts such as soybean hulls, rice bran, DDG, corn gluten feed or wheat midds. Generally the amount of soybean meal required is decreased also. Commonly these changes have the added benefit of decreasing the cost of the ration.
Question: Must I change the concentrate products I use to get a benefit from TMR Buster 75-150TM?
Answer: No. An alternate method of using TMR Buster 75-150TM is to reduce the amount of concentrates being fed and replacing them with forage. Feed cost savings of up to $ 0.42 per cow per day have been observed in some herds when using TMR Buster 75-150TM combined with lower grain levels and increased forage.
Question: How does TMR Buster 75-150TM work?
Answer: TMR Buster 75-150TM works by helping the bacteria in the rumen grow more rapidly and consistently. This is done by helping the fiber digesting bacteria in breaking down the structural carbohydrates more efficiently. When this happens the bacteria produce more volatile fatty acids and more bacterial protein. These are the energy and protein sources used most efficiently by the ruminant animal.
Question: What is the trick?
Answer: There are no gimmicks, tricks or illegal or potentially harmful products in TMR Buster 75-150TM. The ingredient statement is intentionally vague to protect the formula. All of the ingredients are approved feed ingredients, and our trials have shown a symbiotic relationship between these products. If you are using yeast or probiotics, they will not be necessary while using TMR Buster 75-150TM at the recommended level of 75 to 150 grams per head per day. You will see an increased level of digestibility even if these products are being fed.
